NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL UNIVERSITY
2009-2010 APPLICATION FOR GRADUATE ADMISSION
A message from the Graduate School
Welcome to the North Carolina Central University Graduate On-line Application
Dean’s Message to Prospective and Current Graduate Students
It is with great pleasure I welcome you to the North Carolina Central University’s Graduate On-line Application site. NCCU’s graduate programs have been developed with diversity and a variety of interest in mind. Our programs go beyond the highest standards required by many accreditation agencies and they also reflect the needs of today’s most sought after and most marketable jobs – sometimes combining curriculums of two acclaimed schools within the university to offer outstanding joint degree programs.
Graduate and professional degrees are offered through the College of Liberal Arts, College of Science and Technology, College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, and the Schools of Business, Education, Law, and Library and Information Sciences. Programs of licensure are as well offered in the areas of School Counseling, English, Physical Education, Human Sciences, and Mathematics.
This website of the School of Graduate Studies and Research is updated as new graduate programs are approved. The faculty, staff and fellow graduate students at NCCU are dedicated to guiding and assisting students to achieve their educational and career goals. Be assured that this is, without a doubt, the place that will present you the opportunity to improve yourself and your future through excellent programs that will give you the “competitive edge.” It is with pride and pleasure I invite you to academically soar like the Eagle.
Percy E. Murray, Ph.D.

Also, please ask two persons who are familiar with your academic work to complete the Applicant Evaluation and Recommendation Forms. Whenever possible, one of these forms should be completed by the Chairperson of your undergraduate major department (in the event you have been out of school for a number of years, two work references are appropriate).
