CAMPUS SUMMARY
Fayetteville Technical Community College is a nationally known community college serving Cumberland County, North Carolina and surrounding areas. FTCC originated in 1961 as the Fayetteville Area Industrial Education Center under the auspices of the Fayetteville City Board of Education. From a building of 38,000 square feet, a faculty and staff of nine people, and an enrollment of 50 students, Fayetteville Technical Community College has experienced phenomenal growth from 1961 to the present. Now in its fourth decade, FTCC provides programs to meet the vocational, technical, and adult education needs of its students. The purpose of Fayetteville Technical Community College is to provide low cost vocational/technical, general education, college transfer, and continuing education programs which meet the needs and desires of its students and community. To improve the educational base of society, FTCC encourages lifelong learning and strives to prepare students for further educational experiences. Agreements with four-year colleges and universities support the educational continuum from high school through the baccalaureate degree. FTCC is part of the North Carolina Community College System and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.


UNIQUE PROGRAMS
Fayetteville Technical Community College offers more than 130 programs of study at an affordable cost. Students are taught by high quality instructors with small class sizes and high tech labs. The major areas of study are Health, Building Trades, Business Programs, College Transfer, Engineering Technologies, and Public Service Programs. Some of our more unique programs include funeral service education, emergency medical science, physical therapist assistant, radiography, nursing, speech-language pathology assistant, dental hygiene, dental assisting, surgical technology, building construction technology, criminal justice technology/latent evidence, and early childhood associate/special education/teacher associate. There is something for everyone! Program accreditations and associations include: Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET), Air Conditioning Contractors of America, American Bar Association, American Board of Funeral Service Education, American Dental Association, American Society for Engineering Education (Southeastern Section), Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education, American Physical Therapy Association, Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoArc), Joint Review Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology, National League for Nursing and Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), North Carolina Appraisal Board, North Carolina Board of Nursing, North Carolina Department of Insurance, North Carolina Real Estate Commission, and North Carolina State Board of Certified Public Accountant Examiners.
