CAMPUS SUMMARY
The University of North Carolina Wilmington is located in the southeastern part of the state, midway between the Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean. UNCW's red brick Georgian buildings, beautifully landscaped grounds and more than 660 acres offer students an ideal setting for study and activity. Campus highlights include: the new Fisher Student Center & Fisher University Union, complete with a food court and movie theater; a financial markets trading floor that is a business major's dream; and the state-of-the-art Center for Marine Sciences, located on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. The city of Wilmington's coastal location offers an exciting downtown where history, entertainment and the arts converge. It is also home to a thriving film industry and the location for movies and popular television series like One Tree Hill. UNIQUE PROGRAMS
At UNC Wilmington, you'll find a community of curious, smart students, learning and researching side-by-side with acclaimed faculty who are recognized nationally and internationally as experts in their fields. UNCW offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in four academic divisions; the College of Arts and Sciences, the Watson School of Education, the Cameron School of Business and the School of Nursing. Students can choose from more than 70 majors and 30 graduate programs. Some highly recognized programs include film studies, creative writing, entrepreneurship, marine biology and education.
