| Located in Brevard, North Carolina, in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains on 120 rolling acres, you'll find Brevard College. Our campus, with its mature, lofty trees is within easy driving distance of the Pisgah National Forest, Great Smoky National Park, and many of the East's premier whitewater rivers. Brevard College's history dates back to 1853, but our community looks toward the future. The campus features the state-of-the-art Porter Center for Performing Arts; the Village, an innovative residential complex; and a campus-wide intranet that provides computer outlets in every residential room. |
| College is about the discovery of new ideas and new understandings. At Brevard College, you will make those discoveries by meeting new people, perhaps someone from a distant land (over 23 different nations are represented in our student body) and find yourself surprised by a sudden understanding of their perspectives. Those opportunities also may come to you in your faith community or musical ensemble, in working for a campus organization, or through quiet reflection beside King's Creek that meanders across the campus. But life at Brevard College is also about having fun. Since all students are allowed to have cars, the whole of western North Carolina is accessible for adventure. Whether shooting the rapids, enjoying pizza and a movie with friends, or participating in one of our "immersion" wilderness experiences, students at Brevard can learn leadership skills and new perspectives in as many ways as there are students. |
