North Carolina Independent Colleges & Universities
North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities is comprised of the 36 private, non-profit colleges and universities across the state. Many of these colleges and universities offer on-line courses and, in some cases, on-line degrees. These institutions offer more than 125 bachelors or associates degrees.
A number of campuses have off-campus programs in addition to their offerings on the main campus. In some cases, on-line courses are part of the off-campus program offerings as well as being available from the main campus.
The types of on-line courses vary among institutions. NCICU is in the process of establishing a section on its website about on-line learning with information about the individual on-line courses and degrees available by campus.
