North Carolina Virtual Public School
North Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS) provides students the opportunity to access courses in addition to those classes available at their local schools. Examples of how you might use NCVPS include:
- To take an Advanced Placement (AP) class not offered at your school;
- To continue your education if home-bound while recovering from illness or injury;
- To graduate early by taking additional classes; or
- To complete a course when demand for the class exceeds the space available at your school.
All courses are taught by teachers certified to teach the subject matter in North Carolina. When you complete the NCVPS course, it will be listed on your transcript and count toward your graduation requirements. There is no charge to you or the school system for taking courses via NCVPS.
NCVPS also provides free
test prep for the ACT, SAT and GRE through the Student Planner section at CFNC.org.
Visit www.ncvps.org to learn more about how you might benefit from the classes offered online.
