A message from the campus:

Late Registration for the Spring 2010 semester will be held  Tuesday, January 5th and Wednesday, January 6th.

Please note that your Admissions file must be complete before you will be eligible to register.  If you have previous college coursework, you should bring at least an unofficial transcript with you to registration.

Classes for the Spring semester begin on Thursday, January 7th.

Thank you for your interest in Forsyth Tech.  We are pleased that you are interested in pursuing your educational goals with us.  If your area of interest is in curriculum classes, then please proceed with this application.  If you are interested in continuing education/non-credit courses, the following link will take you to that site www.forsythtech.edu/courses/continuing-ed

At Forsyth Tech, we offer over 180 different degrees, diplomas and certificates.  There are college transfer degrees and courses which are designed to transfer to four-year colleges and universities.  You can complete your first two years of college at Forsyth Tech and then transfer as a junior to one of the UNC colleges.  There are also technical, skill-based programs that will prepare you to advance your career or perhaps learn new skills for employment in a new career field.

We encourage you to visit our website for more information about Forsyth Tech.  You can access the website at www.forsythtech.edu.  If you are interested in checking course availability,  click into the "Find a Course" link located on the right hand side of the home page and search for courses by semester.  A school catalog can be found in the "Publications" section also located on the right hand side of the page.

If you are interested in receiving financial aid, please contact the Student Financial Services Office as soon as possible at 336.734.7235.

Please note: while CFNC does not require you to provide your social security number on the application, it is mandatory that you do so for Forsyth Tech's record keeping purposes and the issuance of IRS Form 1098-T.  It is also required in order to apply for Federal Financial Aid.  Applications that do not include the social security number will be returned to the applicant for the required information.

If you are a current Forsyth Tech student and wish to change your program of study, please do not use this application.  Program Change forms are available in the Records Office.  The only exception to this is for students applying to an Allied Health or Nursing program.

If you are an applicant to the college and have already submitted an online application but wish to change your intended major or your semester of entry, please do not submit a new online application.  You may contact the Admissions Office at admissions@forsythtech.edu and we will make the necessary correction.  The only exception to this is for students applying to an Allied Health or Nursing program.

If you are in high school and interested in applying to take classes before you graduate ie, dual enrollment, Middle College, Early College or Learn and Earn you may not use this application.  You must contact Dr. Susan Phelps at (336)734-7466.

If you are an International Student seeking an F1 visa, please note that you may not use this application.  Please visit the International Student website at www.forsythtech.edu/courses/admissions/international-student-information for information regarding admission and the proper application form.

Again, thank you for your interest in Forsyth Technical Community College and we look forward to receiving your application.

High School Transcripts

Some North Carolina public high schools have the capability to electronically send official high school transcripts when you apply online. We encourage you to visit your school counselor to verify coursework and grades prior to requesting an electronic transcript.

To send an electronic transcript, you must:

  • Complete this online application.
  • Make sure you have entered the following information in your profile and/or application:
    • First and Last Name - This must match your NCWISE name (use the name that appears on your report card, or check with your high school counselor).
    • NCWISE Student ID - Your NCWISE Student ID is your public high school student identifier number and can be found on your report card. Providing the NCWISE Student ID is voluntary and will give you the opportunity to request your high school transcript electronically.
    • Current High School
    • Date of Birth
    • E-mail Address
    • Gender
  • Be currently enrolled, or enrolled at the time of graduation, at a participating public high school in North Carolina that has converted from the SIMS system to NCWISE to manage student data. If you are not sure about your school's current status, or its status at the time you graduated, check with your school counselor or office staff.
If these conditions were met when you submitted your application, you will then be presented with the option of sending your high school transcript electronically to that school.
