Steps in the Enrollment Process:
Submit an Application for Admissions through CFNC Ė You are HERE!!! a. Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid Ė www.fafsa.ed.gov
Transcript Review (all previous high school and college transcripts required)
Create your COA Log-in.
Take the placement test or receive a waiver for placement (with appropriate HS GPA and Math courses)
Advising and Registration
Applications without a social security number
Applications submitted without a Social Security number require additional processing. If you choose not to disclose your SSN, entry of your application will be delayed. In addition, you should be aware that for some purposes, for example tuition tax credit documents (1098T) and federal financial aid, social security numbers are required.

International Students (F1 Visa)
If you are an international student applying for an I-20, please visit http://www.albemarle.edu/students/international-students/f-1-visas-for-students-overseas for additional admissions requirements.
All new students are required to complete the myCourses readiness assessment prior to enrolling in any online class - https://mycourses.albemarle.edu/. Students must complete each module with a 90% or better. Please allow us 2-3 business days to create your COA account before attempting to complete this step.
If you do not fully answer the questions regarding your Driverís License information and ALL residency questions, your application will be determined to be OUT OF STATE Tuition and you will be billed as an out of state student when you register. You may appeal this decision prior to the start of the term. Please contact the Registrarís office for further information and assistance at firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also visit the Student Success office on each COA campus.
The college has a re-admit procedure for inactive students that have not registered for two consecutive semesters (excluding summer). Returning students must submit official transcripts from any institutions attended since their COA departure.

Students must submit a copy of their official transcripts (high school and previous college) prior to enrolling in their second semester.
